Educational Objectives By the end of this program, the participants will be able to: 

1) identify proper indications for the use of Endoscopic Ultrasound;

2) understand the implementation of multidisciplinary treatment for pancreatic cancer;

3) understand the rationale and indications for, and the risks and benefits of, CRS + HIPEC;4) understand the new laws with which he/she must comply, and respond to the challenges presented by such laws;

5) understand the advantages of robotic technology in minimally invasive surgery, and describe the benefits of robotics in

      Heller Myotomy;

6) discuss the role of simulation in psychomotor skills training and in surgery in particular;

7) understand how to apply systems science to patient care and clinical quality improvement;

8) have a better understanding of the causes of medical errors and ways in which to avoid such errors;

9) be able to identify current and emerging high risk exposures in general surgery medical practice;

10) recognize the primary elements of effective loss prevention measures;

11) describe and implement risk management strategies to reduce medical errors.
